Responsibilities
The Thriving Families Service is a new initiative within the Trust, which has the aim of supporting expectant parents who have previous children separated from their care to make the necessary changes required. This is with a view to enabling them to safely retain care of their baby once born. We are seeking a Service Support Assistant to provide Business Administrative support to the Thriving Families Service, a fixed term contract until March 2029. The service will comprise two social workers, four family help practitioners, a team manager and a service manager. The role will involve uploading documents to the electronic system, supporting the submission of payment and translator requests, gathering and tracking pertinent data related to statutory and best practice indicators, ensuring this is recorded clearly and accurately, effectively utilising Excel spreadsheets, arranging and booking meetings, minuting meetings, typing, receiving telephone calls and ensuring effective communication lines between external and internal professionals and families. This is not an exhaustive list, but a summary outline of the role.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Hold NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration or equivalent.
* Demonstrate previous experience in a business administration role.
* Experience in minute taking of complex meetings.
* IT literate with experience using Microsoft Office packages.
* Good communication and telephone skills.
* Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload.
* Ability to work independently and well as part of a team.
* A standard DBS check will be required for this role.
* Sandwell Children's Trust is rated as a Good Provider.
Contract Details
Fixed term contract until 31st March 2029.
Hours: 37 per week.
