Post: Personal Assistant/ Care Worker
Hours: 31 hours per week
Rate of Pay: £12.60 per hour gross
Driving License: Preferable but not necessary
Role and Timing
The hours will cover weekends, with an opportunity for more hours when covering holidays. Multiple applicants can be considered for this role for a week on, week off rota if they are suitable.
About the Role
This role is to assist a 19-year-old woman who is starting at Stirling University, studying Psychology. The role will include some personal care and assistance with socialising. The young woman is severely visually impaired and is a wheelchair user. She is looking for someone with similar interests who can help balance studying, socialising and everyday life.
About the Person
The young woman is very social, fun-loving, an animal lover, outgoing and has hobbies including music (listening and playing), listening to books and watching TV shows.
Responsibilities
* Assist with day-to-day tasks while encouraging independence.
* Personal care duties, including assisting with medications and mealtimes.
* Assist with accessing events and the community.
* Nasogastric feed: training will be provided with the role.
* Any other duties commensurate with the role of a Personal Assistant.
Qualifications and Requirements
* PVG (Protection of Vulnerable Groups) required; applicant will share this information with the employer or apply promptly with the success of the application.
* Driving license: preferable but not necessary.
