Overview
We are looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our clients team in Killmasrsh. This hands-on role is ideal for a time-served mechanical engineer with experience in industrial maintenance who is looking to apply their skills in a busy production environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance and emergency breakdown repairs
* Diagnose faults and contribute to root-cause analysis to improve plant reliability
* Maintain accurate maintenance records, recommend spare parts and refurbishment plans
* Work safely to permit-to-work systems and contribute to continuous improvement
Experience & Qualifications
Essential
* Time-served, apprentice-trained mechanical engineer
* NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering
* Strong knowledge of rotating equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, mixers
* Full UK Driving Licence
Personal Attributes
* Strong fault-finding and practical problem-solving ability
* Safety-conscious and methodical
* Able to work under pressure and to production deadlines
* Team player with good communication skills
* Willing to learn and develop technically
* Comfortable working as a lone engineer
