Full Time Endoscopy Co-ordinator at Vale of Leven Hospital: An opportunity has arisen for a Full Time Endoscopy Co-ordinator (Band 4) based at Vale of Leven Hospital. You will work as part of a wider team of administrative staff in Clyde Division supporting the endoscopy workload of visiting Consultant Medical Staff and Nurse Endoscopists.
About the Role: You will provide an efficient and effective administrative support to the workload of the endoscopy department including the management of all endoscopy referrals. You will liaise directly with medical and nursing staff in relation to all referrals, dealing with internal telephone enquiries from the endoscopy unit nurses and wards as well as other external agencies ie GPs etc. You will be in contact with New and Return endoscopy patients on the In-Patient Waiting List and book them with a date for their procedure, managing them in order of priority and longest wait in line with the Waiting Times Policy. You will be an essential part of the wider endoscopy administrative team, contributing to the smooth running of the busy Endoscopy Medical Day Bed Unit.
Requirements of the post:
* Qualifications: Two standard grades, including English, are essential or relevant work based experience.
* Experience: recent experience in a busy administrative role preferably in a hospital.
* Experience of using TrakCare is essential to this post.
* Skills: Good organisational skills and an excellent communicator. You will have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. A high level of attention to detail and good workload output are necessary.
* Personal Attributes: A reliable and flexible approach to work, along with a commitment to maintaining good
* attendance, will be essential for success in this position.
* We are looking for a proactive, self-motivated individual for this role that combines administrative skills within a patient focused healthcare environment.
