We are urgently recruiting freelance Farsi interpreters and translators based in Docaster to work within settings such as the NHS, local authorities, police, probation and other public and private organisations. The role requires flexibility and competitive rates.
Job Details
Interpreting involves listening to, understanding and memorising content in the original source language, then reproducing the speech into the target language with 100% accuracy.
Responsibilities
* Interpret for people using legal, health and local government services
* Check the non-English speakers’ understanding after each sentence
* Provide conference, consecutive and public service interpreting
* Handle highly confidential information
* Liaise between the service user and service provider
Requirements
* Fluent in English and Farsi (or another foreign language)
* Right to work in the UK
* 21 years of age or older
* Formal qualifications such as Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI), Community Interpreting, NRPSI, CIOL, ITI registered (advantageous), or a degree in Translation/Interpreting/Languages, or any other interpreting related qualification
