Contract Site Engineer Location: Hindley GreenHours: Full-time Supporting a 24/7 operation - Working DaysSalary: £22.50-£26.25per hour DOE Contract Length - 9 months with a view to becoming permanent Keep a fast-paced manufacturing site running safely and smoothly. One of our clients is hiring a hands-on Site Engineer with electrical bias to lead planned and reactive maintenance, boost reliability, and drive continuous improvement across the plant. Key responsibilities Rapid response to breakdowns; diagnose faults and cut unplanned downtime.Develop and run a robust PPM programme to lift asset care, utilisation and performance.Deliver small installations, process changes and CI projects to improve output, quality and cost.Uphold H&S, Quality, Hygiene/Housekeeping and GMP; own permits, RA/MS and documentation.Collaborate with Production (daily reviews), coach teams to improve OEE and efficiency.Manage contractors and critical spares; provide clear monthly reports and updates.Plan/monitor engineering projects-budget, schedule, compliance and QA/QC. About you Time-served Electro-Mechanical Apprenticeship; Degree (or equivalent) preferred.IET 17th Edition, IOSH Managing Safely; MIET (Chartered) desirable.5+ years in a relevant engineering role within fast-paced manufacturing.Strong fault-finding across mechanical, electrical & pneumatics; PLC/instrumentation exposure.Lean mindset; analytical, proactive communicator and team coach.Good working knowledge of H&S, Quality and cross-functional ways of working.
