ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Software Engineer in Test (SDET) is a technical role within the organisation and will be responsible for supporting all aspects of the quality engineering and automated testing function - from providing test planning and operational advice to implementing test automation. The role will support the business through challenges related to continuous delivery, integration, and software quality, while also serving as a key member of the software development team. It will be accountable for and provide expertise in automated testing strategy, test framework development, CI/CD integration, and quality assurance processes. Role has no direct reports.
TECH STACK
1. BDD - both Gherkin scenario creation and implementation of glue code.
2. CI/CD consisting of: building code, deploying, running tests, generating test report.
3. Azure cloud platform.
4. Snowflake.
5. Docker.
6. .NET, C#.
7. SQL.
8. Python, Airflow, DBT.
9. IaC using Terraform.
10. Monitoring with DataDog.
11. Static code analysis with SonarCloud.
YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
12. Working closely with fellow engineering team members to embed testability and quality into all stages of the software development lifecycle.
13. Developing and maintaining a strong understanding of the product and business domain.
14. Contributing to performance, load, and integration testing for critical components.
15. Defining and maintain quality metrics to monitor and improve both test effectiveness and overall software
16. quality.
17. Advocating for testability and quality during design and code reviews.
IF YOU HAVE:
Skills
18. Designing and implementing tests, whether it is manual or automated.
19. Working knowledge of at least one programming language.
20. Experience working with databases, SQL.
21. Ability to explore, interpret, and troubleshoot complex datasets.
22. Review code, and ensure best practices (coding, testing) are followed.
23. Experience in Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices.
24. Fluency in English (at least B2).
