We are seeking a skilled Bench Fitter to support production through the maintenance, repair and manufacture of press tooling. This is a hands-on position suited to someone confident working independently, with strong finishing and fitting skills - particularly in the polishing of press tools - and the ability to respond quickly to production demands.

Key Responsibilities
Polish, finish and maintain high-quality standards across production tooling
Inspect tools for defects and carry out visual checks to identify areas requiring further polishing or repair
Work closely with toolmakers to ensure each stage of the polishing and finishing process is completed in the correct sequence and within required timescales
Maintain and repair press tooling to support ongoing production
Work with a range of materials, including hardened tool steels
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
City & Guilds Engineering Level 2 (or equivalent)
Mechanical or general engineering apprenticeship
Knowledge of press/die tooling
Experience in tool making, tool repair, and JIG Tool & Die maintenance
Competence with milling, turning, drilling and tapping equipment, as well as hand tools
Ability to read and interpret component and tooling drawings
