Domiciliary care assistant

Female Domiciliary Care Assistant Barnsley Staff One is currently recruiting Female Domiciliary Care Assistants to support clients in the Barnsley area.
This is a rewarding role supporting individuals in their own homes, helping them maintain their independence while receiving high-quality, person-centred care.
Please note: Due to the nature of the role, applicants must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own vehicle.
Main Duties and Responsibilities Assisting clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming

Administering medication in accordance with care plans and company procedures

Supporting clients with meal preparation and nutritional needs

Providing companionship, emotional support, and promoting wellbeing

Assisting with household tasks and daily living activities

Encouraging independence while maintaining dignity, choice, and respect

Maintaining accurate records and reporting any concerns appropriately

Shift Patterns Shifts are expected to follow the below patterns:
Hours are spilt between 7am-11pm (Morning, afternoon and evening calls)

Please note that exact shift times are subject to confirmation.
Additional Information Up to 8 client visits per day

A short 10-minute Microsoft Teams induction with the manager will be required prior to your first shift

Requirements Female applicants only (this is a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010)

Previous care experience preferred

Full UK driving licence

Access to a reliable vehicle

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
