Part-Time Teaching Assistant
Location: Bootle, Sefton
Pay: £14.50 – £15.75 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 12:30pm – 3:30pm
Start: April – until the end of the academic year

About the Role
Connex Education are working with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Bootle who are looking for a part-time Teaching Assistant to join their Key Stage 2 team.
The role will involve supporting a Year 6 pupil on a 1:1 basis during afternoon lessons. The pupil’s needs are low-level, and the school are looking for someone with a warm, caring and encouraging personality who can help the pupil stay engaged and confident in the classroom.
This opportunity would be ideal for someone starting their career as a Teaching Assistant, a student studying education or childcare, or someone looking for part-time school hours.
The role will begin after the Easter break and run until July .

What We’re Looking For
The school are looking for someone who is:
6. Warm, patient and supportive with children
7. Able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
8. Reliable and enthusiastic in the classroom
9. Confident supporting children with additional needs
10. A good team player with strong communication skills
Previous school experience or a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential. Candidates with relevant experience working with children or young people will also be considered.
You will also need:
11. GCSE English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent
12. A current DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through Connex
