Senior Commercial Insurance Broker | North Manchester | Up to £55,000

A thriving and growing insurance broker with offices in both North and South Manchester, our client is known for delivering bespoke commercial insurance solutions to businesses across a range of sectors and of all sizes, as well as tailored personal insurance solutions to high-net-worth individuals. Known for their outstanding levels of service and personalised approach, they are focused on building long-lasting client relationship. Having been established for over 40 years, the group has recently acquired a number of other brokerages, bringing together a collection of reputable brands into the network, and their continued growth means they are now looking for a new Senior Commercial Broker to join their North Manchester office as part of the wider senior team.

The Role

As a Senior Commercial Insurance Broker, you will be helping to drive the business forward by maintaining an existing portfolio of clients as well as developing new clients. You responsibilities will include:

1. Working closely with a team of Account Handlers, you will be providing tailored insurance solutions across a range of commercial lines
2. Managing an existing portfolio of loyal, long-standing customers in addition to identifying new business opportunities through networking, prospecting, introducers and marketing
3. Understanding your clients business operations, risk factors and opportunities, you'll be building trusted, lasting client relationships
4. Dealing with the selling, processing and administration of new contracts, renewals and MTA's, and identifying opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling within your client base
5. Liaising and negotiating with underwriters to identify the most suitable insurance products for your clients.
6. Working closely with Directors to drive profitability within the branch, ensuring all recommendations are aligned to the client's needs.
7. Supporting team members to help develop their knowledge and skills
8. Handling day-to-day queries and enquiries from both clients and insurers.

About You

9. Proven experience as a Commercial Insurance Broker as either a Senior Broker, Broking Manager, Branch Manager or Account Executive - essential.
10. Ideally, you have an existing client base to bring with you to help grow the book of business
11. Excellent knowledge of multiple commercial insurance products and services.
12. Experience with Acturis is preferable.
13. CII qualification is desirable.
14. Confident communicator.
15. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
16. Strong PC skills
