Salary: Up to £12.81 per hour (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)
Circle Health Group Decontamination is responsible for providing sterile equipment and instrumentation for surgical and interventional procedures across hospitals in Southeast England and Glasgow. The unit operates 24/7 with rotating shifts covering days and nights.
We have an opportunity for a Driver to join our Decontamination department on a bank basis, working 'as and when required' to support staffing during busy periods or staff absences.
Key Duties:
1. Collect contaminated trolleys from hospitals and clinics, delivering them to the decontamination facility.
2. Return cleaned trolleys with reprocessed scopes and instruments to clinical departments promptly and courteously.
3. Perform daily vehicle checks, monitor fuel, oil, tyre pressure, and report defects.
4. Maintain the vehicle's cleanliness and good working order.
5. Act as a communication link between customers and the decontamination unit, relaying concerns and queries.
6. Build positive relationships with hospital and clinic staff.
Essential Requirements:
* A full, clean UK driving licence (Category B) valid for vehicles up to 3.5t.
* Experience driving vans with tail lifts, preferably in a healthcare or commercial setting.
* Ability to drive in various environments and weather conditions under time constraints.
* Manual handling skills with appropriate training.
* Good literacy skills for completing logs and reading instructions.
* Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, or public holidays.
* Commitment to vehicle hygiene and safety standards.
