We are seeking a Helpdesk Operator to join our team at Mitie in Buxton, Harpur Hill. The ideal candidate will be a passionate individual with customer service experience, responsible for managing phone call and email requests, supporting employees, and logging information onto a database. The role requires the ability to deliver high levels of service, remain professional at all times, and ensure that Mitie’s policies, processes, and procedures are followed. As a Helpdesk Operator, you will be tasked with managing the flow of requests to ensure a continuous and efficient service.
Daily Responsibilities
* Answer emails, phone calls, and walk-in queries while logging jobs.
* Send quotes to clients for approval, and inform engineers of their daily workloads.
* Produce reprographics and printing requests for training on site.
* Fulfil the contract with our client and ensure all contractual obligations are met.
* Answer all calls and emails to the helpdesk efficiently, meeting the needs of customers and making full use of the available information and equipment.
* Ensure timely input and output of all associated help desk data, and live monitoring of performance against SLA's.
* Work under pressure to meet challenging deadlines while effectively managing workloads.
Qualifications & Skills
* Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
* Confidence with Microsoft Office.
* Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
* Good planning and organisational skills.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality across the site while respecting stakeholders’ needs.
Essential Skills
Computer skills, customer service and Microsoft office.
