Due to continued growth, we are looking for a motivated Semi Senior Accountant to join our Accounts & Tax Department.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with practice experience looking to further develop their technical accounts and tax knowledge within a supportive and modern firm.
The successful candidate will work closely with managers and senior team members whilst taking increasing responsibility for their own portfolio of clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparation of year-end statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
* Preparation of corporation tax computations and returns
* Preparation of self‑assessment tax returns
* Liaising directly with clients to obtain information and resolve queries
* Supporting senior team members with client portfolio management
* Assisting with tax planning and ad‑hoc advisory work where appropriate
* Maintaining accurate working papers and ensuring compliance with internal procedures and deadlines
About You
We are looking for someone who:
* Has previous experience working within an accountancy practice
* Is AAT qualified, ACA/ACCA part‑qualified, or qualified by experience
* Has experience preparing accounts and tax returns
* Has good technical knowledge and attention to detail
* Is organised and able to manage workloads effectively
* Communicates confidently and professionally with clients and colleagues
* Is motivated to continue learning and progressing within practice
Desirable Experience
* Experience using Xero and TaxCalc
