Your responsibilities
We are looking for a keen and motivated undergraduate to join our Business Controlling UK team, with a focus on financial planning, reporting and analysis for our UK asset base from September 2025 on a 48-52 week
placement.
1. Supporting senior financial controllers in preparation of financial reporting (monthly, quarterly, adhoc) for our UK Flexible Generation Assets
2. Contributing to the mid-term planning and forecasting process
3. Supporting Power Station controllers in reviewing actual costs vs budget and explaining deviations to key stakeholders
4. Monitoring key performance indicators and understanding key drivers for deviations
5. Support controllers and other key stakeholders with any ad hoc tasks as required
Your profile
6. Good communication and organizational skills & ability to maintain relationships with a variety of stakeholders
7. Curiosity to learn new tools and methodologies
8. Analytical thinker and self-organized.
9. High initiative and self-motivation
10. Willingness to learn and develop, for example in terms of operational excellence, with the support of the team
11. With the right desire to learn, you will leave with a thorough grounding in a wide range of Business Controlling topics
Essential
12. Studying for a university degree in business administration, finance, maths, economics or similar.
13. Proficient in Microsoft Excel
14. Excellent written and spoken English language skills.
Desirable
15. Awareness of other Microsoft Office applications such as PowerPoint and Word
16. Knowledge of digital reporting solutions such as Power BI
17. Knowledge of energy markets
