We are looking for a proactive and skilled Repairs Surveyor to join our regional multi-disciplinary team.
In this vital role, you will ensure our residents’ homes are safe, compliant, and maintained to the highest standards.
You’ll be at the heart of our place-based approach, supporting our mission to deliver excellent housing, care, and support services.
This is a full time 36hr permanent position and working flexibly in our south Wales facilities.
Travel will be required for this role, and it will be essential that candidates have full UK driving license and access to their own vehicle.

What you’ll be doing:
1. Diagnosing building defects and specifying cost-effective repair solutions.
2. Managing responsive repairs, voids, mutual exchanges, and disrepair cases from inspection to completion.
3. Overseeing contractor performance, ensuring quality, compliance, and value for money. Handling damp, mould, and condensation cases with a focus on resident wellbeing.
4. Ensuring compliance with WHQS2023, HHSRS, FFHH, CDM, and other relevant legislation.
5. Providing expert technical advice to residents, colleagues, and contractors.
6. Maintaining accurate records and contributing to continuous improvement in repairs and maintenance.
What we are looking for:
7. An experienced building surveyor with a strong background in responsive repairs and housing maintenance.
8. Excellent diagnostic, specification writing, and contractor management skills.
9. Strong understanding of housing legislation, health and safety, and compliance standards. A customer-focused professional who communicates clearly and empathetically.
10. A collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
11. Understanding and confidence using Microsoft 365 packages
