Programme Facilitator / Offender Life Skills Group Worker / Rehabilitation Instructor who has experience working within the Criminal Justice System, preferably a prison environment is required to deliver short-term Life Skills programmes to male residents at HMP Nottingham. JOB OVERVIEW We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Programme Facilitator / Offender Life Skills Group Worker / Rehabilitation Instructor who has experience working within the Criminal Justice System, preferably a prison environment. Working as the Programme Facilitator / Offender Life Skills Group Worker / Rehabilitation Instructor you will deliver a short-term Life Skills programme to male residents at HMP Nottingham, preparing them for effective release into the community and reduce rates of re-offending. The programme will address common issues experienced upon release including, but not limited to Building Resilience, Finance, Benefit and Debt, Community Integration and Accommodation. Through delivery of this programme, as the Programme Facilitator / Offender Life Skills Group Worker / Rehabilitation Instructor you will be empowering prisoners with essential life skills, helping them to build a more stable and positive future beyond prison. DUTIES Working as the Programme Facilitator / Offender Life Skills Group Worker / Rehabilitation Instructor you will be on site four days a week. Two of these days will be dedicated to programme delivery with four groups being facilitated during this time. Group sizes will be between three and five learners, allowing for more personalised support and engagement. Group sessions will last up to three hours. The remaining two days will be allocated for case management, prison and learner engagement, quality assurance and programme development activities, ensuring the programme responds to the identified needs of its learners. To ensure successful delivery of the programme, the successful candidate will need to collaborate effectively with relevant prison staff and providers, including but not limited to: Learning and Skills Manager Neurodiversity Support Manager Inclusion Support Co-ordinators Quality Improvement Groups Resettlement Boards Prison Education Careers Information, Advice and Guidance (CIAG) Progress of enrolled learners (and those who do not engage) will be recorded by the candidate on the prison case management system NOMIS, doing so accurately and in good time. Monthly reports on learner engagement and progress will be required to be produced and shared internally and externally. The successful candidate will need to work with prison regime to maximise attendance on groups, prioritising those with the greatest need and creating effective working groups according to any identified neurodiverse, literacy or numeracy support needs. Delivery will also include working with prisoners classified as Vulnerable Prisoners who may pose an increased risk or be at an increased risk of harm themselves. Marketing material will be distributed on the prison wings by the successful candidate in order to raise profile of the programme and how to enrol onto it, following up conversations with prospective learners to turn interest into attendance. A commitment to use a Trauma Informed approach when delivering and communicating with learners. Follow up any additional support or identified needs with individual learners, signposting or providing access to resources where necessary/appropriate. Collect feedback on delivery and contribute to the ongoing development of the programme to best meet the needs of the learners.
