This is a key operational role that offers the opportunity to combine hands-on planning responsibilities with team leadership and operational support.Working closely with drivers, customers, warehouse teams and management, you will play a vital role in ensuring service levels, operational efficiency and customer expectations are consistently achieved.The roleOversee daily transport planning activities across the Groupage operation.Coordinate vehicle routing, load planning and resource allocation to maximise operational efficiency.Support, mentor and develop junior planners and operational staff.Liaise with drivers, customers and warehouse teams to ensure smooth service delivery.Monitor and maintain delivery performance, service levels and operational KPIs.Manage reactive planning issues, route amendments and operational challenges.Support compliance initiatives and promote best practice across the transport function.Assist management with reporting, analysis and continuous improvement projects.Maintain strong communication across all operational departments.You will need Previous experience within a Transport Planning role.Strong understanding of UK and Ireland transport operations.Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.Experience using Transport Management Systems (TMS).Proactive approach with the ability to make decisions under pressureExperience within Groupage, Pallet Network or General Haulage operations.Understanding of transport compliance, driver regulations and operational KPIs.You will receive:Competitive salary of £35,000 - £40,000.Opportunity to progress within a growing logistics business.Ongoing training and professional development.Supportive and collaborative working environment.If you are an experienced Transport Planner looking to take on greater responsibility and develop your career within a successful transport operation, we would love to hear from you.
