We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicatedConsultant Radiologistfor a hospital in the South-East of England
Key Responsibilities
* Clinical Duties :
* Interpret and report on various imaging modalities, including X-rays, CT scans, MRI, ultrasound, and nuclear medicine.
* Collaborate with other medical professionals to provide accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
* Perform interventional procedures (e.g., biopsies, drainages, and angiograms) when necessary.
* Ensure patient safety during imaging procedures.
* Teaching and Training :
* Supervise and mentor junior doctors, radiographers, and trainees.
* Participate in educational activities, including lectures, workshops, and case discussions.
* Contribute to the training and development of medical students and residents.
* Research and Audit :
* Engage in clinical research, quality improvement projects, and audit activities.
* Stay updated with advancements in radiology and contribute to evidence-based practice.
* Administrative Duties :
* Attend departmental meetings and participate in service planning.
* Contribute to the development of protocols and guidelines.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Full Specialist Registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) .
* License to Practice as a Consultant Radiologist.
* Fellowship or equivalent qualification in Radiology.
* Demonstrated expertise in various imaging modalities.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
