Qualified Teaching Assistant (SEN) - Secondary

Veritas Education is currently recruiting a qualified Teaching Assistant to work with secondary-aged pupils in secondary school settings across the Blackburn area, supporting students within SEN provisions.
This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate and experienced Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting young people with additional needs to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.
The Role:
* Supporting pupils aged 11-16 within SEN provisions and mainstream secondary classrooms
* Working with students with EHCPs, SEND, and additional learning needs
* Providing 1:1 and small group support
* Assisting with behaviour management and emotional regulation
* Supporting the class teacher with lesson delivery and progress monitoring
* Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
The Ideal Candidate:
* Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
* Experience working with secondary-aged pupils
* Proven experience supporting students with SEN (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD)
* Strong communication and behaviour management skills
* Reliable, patient, and committed to long-term placements
