About this role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer in Electronics Engineering to join our team. As a Lecturer you will deliver engaging, hands‑on, and inclusive learning experiences that prepare students for careers in electronics, automation, and digital technologies.
Key Responsibilities
* Teach Electronics Theory, covering circuit design, analogue/digital systems, and embedded technologies.
* Deliver Mathematical Applications sessions supporting learners in applying core maths to solve engineering problems.
* Introduce PLC programming and industrial automation concepts.
* Teach Mechatronics, integrating mechanical, electrical, and computer systems in practical contexts.
* Cover Digital Principles, including logic systems, microcontrollers, and digital communication.
* Provide instruction in Mechanical Principles to support multidisciplinary learning.
* Work closely with the curriculum team to ensure high‑quality instruction and pastoral support.
* Contribute to the development of the new T Level in Engineering, shaping curriculum that reflects current industry standards.
What We’re Looking For
* Industry professionals with expertise in electronics engineering, mechatronics, mechanical principles, and applied mathematics.
* Experience with PLCs, digital systems, and electronics theory.
* Teaching qualifications desirable; support available for those working toward them.
* A commitment to mentoring, inclusive education, and continuous improvement.
* Flexibility to support a range of electronics topics and contribute to curriculum development.

Contract Information
* Part‑time vacancy for a minimum of 3 days per week; full‑time applications will be considered.
* Salary starts from £30,156, varying with skills and experience.
* Eligible for funding incentives, including retention payments up to £6,000 per year and teaching bursaries up to £31,000 for approved FE initial teacher education qualifications.
