Our client is looking to strengthen their SHEQ team with a Health, Safety and Wellbeing Advisor.
Based throughout the Anglian region, we are seeking a candidate to fulfill day-to-day H&S duties and contribute to managing and developing the regional safety strategy.
As the new Health, Safety and Wellbeing Advisor, you will improve SHEA awareness and behaviors, and enhance team collaboration and development across all areas of the business. Acting as an ambassador for their LIFE principles, you will provide a direct and visible link between the LIFE strategy and delivery outcomes.
You will report directly to the Health and Safety Manager. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Supporting operational teams in developing their safety behaviors in line with the Safety element of the LIFE strategy.
2. Facilitating open communication and identifying behavioral opportunities to foster a safety-driven culture.
3. Conducting site inspections and assurance visits to ensure legal compliance.
4. Delivering training and awareness programs (e.g., LIFE orientation, Passport to Work, site briefings) to boost employee confidence and capabilities.
5. Developing measures to assess the impact of safety programs and their contribution to organizational growth.
6. Participating in Pan-Alliance forums to share best practices and promote innovative behavioral safety initiatives.
About The Candidate:
To be considered, you should hold a NEBOSH Construction Certificate and a Technical grade (or higher) membership of IOSH. Possessing a CSCS Safety Professional card, you will have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to earn trust and respect across all organizational levels.
You should be passionate about safety and committed to creating environments where people and teams can thrive. A full, clean UK driving license is required for site visits.
