Role Overview:
The Project Application Engineer will deliver process control system solutions to our customers. This hands-on engineering role involves delivering SCADA and process control systems, covering all phases of project delivery, including obtaining user requirements, documentation, configurations, testing, commissioning, and training.
Hybrid work – 3 days a week in the office.
Responsibilities:
* Liaise with customers to help define system requirements
* Generate detailed system designs for automation systems, including enclosures, networking, instrumentation, and supervisory systems
* Create Functional and Test Specifications
* Implement control and SCADA application software
* Perform system tests
* Provide commissioning assistance
* Offer technical and sales support
* Work as a team member and ensure effective completion of work using smart objectives.
* Interface with Technical Support and Field Service Engineers, providing follow-ups on projects.
* Coach and mentor junior team members
* Conduct customer off-site visits for: System start-up and commissioning, Emergency restoration, Training, Technical support
Qualifications And Attributes:
* Proven track record in implementing control systems and providing related services.
* Degree in Control and Systems Engineering or Electrical and Electronics Engineering or Computer Science or related
* Experience with SCADA with Aveva System Platform
* Functional Specifications/ Test Specifications/ Application Engineering
* Strong business and technical mind-set
* Good team player and communicator
* Strong analytical and planning skills
* Willingness to travel from time to time
