Your role and responsibilities
Develop, implement, and manage the account strategy focused on share of wallet growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Coordinate sales activities, monitor current projects, and resolve specific customer issues. This role supports ABB's Business Line Industry sales strategy to enhance market penetration and growth. Responsibilities include developing and executing customer strategies aligned with local/global goals to ensure high customer satisfaction and growth. This is a UK & Ireland based, home-based role.
Key duties include:
1. Selling products/solutions/services to meet volume, mix, and profitability targets, primarily supporting ABB Robotics sales in the UK, focusing on end users and developing new and existing customers.
2. Negotiating on specifications and pricing with customers to maximize margins, preparing quotes, and updating CRM (SalesForce) with opportunity details and visit reports.
3. Contributing to sales strategy development through current and long-term customer plans.
4. Setting and tracking sales targets for the account, ensuring achievement through structured follow-up.
5. Understanding customer needs and communicating how ABB’s solutions can meet those needs.
6. Monitoring client financial status, reporting risks, and managing contract and pricing risks across customers, channels, and segments.
7. Working towards personal and business targets set annually, contributing to team goals, and embodying ABB's 4Cs: Collaboration, Curiosity, Courage, and Care.
8. Maintaining high engagement levels with existing and new customers, developing strategic partnerships, and building personal relationships with key decision-makers as part of the ABB QCE program.
9. Ensuring all activities adhere to ABB's values and ethics.
