Job Description:

Working as part of the Substance Misuse Service under the direction of the Registered Nurse, the Health Care Support Worker will have a significant role in delivering care to patients. The role entails supporting clinical staff to deliver routine clinics and care within the Health Centre and, at times, in the Residential Prison Halls. Responsibilities include Medication Administration, Health Checks, low-level psychosocial interventions, behavioral change, in collaboration with the wider multidisciplinary health team and the Scottish Prison Service. Experience working within a drug and alcohol recovery environment is essential.
You must display good communication and interpersonal skills, be organized, and have experience working within a caring environment. You will be committed to delivering high-quality, safe, and effective patient-centered care to this complex group within this unique setting.
You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.
