About the Role:
Aztec West, Bristol. Minimum 2-3 days on-site at Aztec West Office with flexibility for remote work or other locations. Do you have expertise in developing environmental design assurance processes and handling challenging compliance issues? Can you collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to promote environmental initiatives within large infrastructure projects? The Opportunity:
As our Environmental Engineer, you'll be part of the Environmental Technical Team, playing a key role in the environmental success of the Hinkley Point C project. Your responsibilities include providing expert input on environmental engineering, permitting, regulatory engagement, and technical support throughout the project lifecycle—from design to operation.

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide technical leadership and oversight across design changes, ensuring environmental standards are met.
* Support environmental design assurance processes and review engineering modifications for compliance.
* Manage relationships with design teams and external agencies, aligning technical and environmental priorities.
* Coordinate with various teams to integrate environmental protection at all project stages.
* Engage with regulators and environmental agencies, attending meetings and supporting compliance discussions.
* Monitor KPIs and SLAs to ensure performance metrics are achieved.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Degree in engineering or science-related discipline.
* Proven experience in environmental engineering, especially in design assurance and regulatory compliance.
* Strong knowledge of environmental legislation, policies, and standards.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Desirable: Membership or progress toward membership of a professional institution, Chartered status, or experience in nuclear or hazardous industries.
