About the Role
Are you passionate about using digital tools to improve public health outcomes? Join our dynamic Public Health and Digital teams at Leicestershire County Council and help shape how we engage with communities through innovative digital platforms.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated digital professional to join the well-established Health Improvement Team and Communications and Digital Teams, as a Public Health Digital Engagement Officer. You will drive positive behaviour change within our communities, utilising digital means and driving forwards a digital first approach. Collaborating closely with public health, communications and digital teams, you’ll design, deliver, and evaluate impactful digital strategies that effectively target audiences, resonate with residents and increase digital engagement. You will support digital and AI projects in Public Health and across the Council.
The post holder will lead the implementation of Healthy Leicestershire, our new identity and digital solution for Public Health. The post holder will implement a new website, with CRM, LMS and web app functionality, as well as support existing websites and digital engagement approaches across the life course.
As a Public Health Digital Engagement Officer, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our digital presence and engagement strategies. Your responsibilities will include:
* Leading the development and continuous improvement of the Healthy Leicestershire website and other digital platforms.
* Creating and supporting the production of engaging digital content such as e-learning, videos, and blogs to improve health literacy.
* Evaluating digital campaigns and platforms, using insights to inform strategy and reporting to senior stakeholders.
* Enhancing public engagement through digital channels, ensuring resident voices are captured and acted upon.
* Supporting the development of telehealth solutions and exploring innovative digital health tools.
* Collaborating with internal teams and external partners to deliver integrated, inclusive, and effective digital communications.

About You
To apply for this post, you must have:
* A degree in a relevant subject (e.g. Media, Communications, Public Health) or equivalent experience.
* Experience producing digital content and managing digital communications or marketing projects.
* Strong understanding of how to utilise digital technology to support positive behaviour change.
* Experience engaging with seldom-heard or diverse communities.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences.
* Confidence in analysing and presenting complex information to senior leaders and stakeholders.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and work flexibly in a fast-paced environment.
You must also have an understanding of, and commitment to, equality, diversity and inclusion.
