SEN General Cover Teacher Supply SEN Teacher – Day to Day
Location: Birmingham (Various SEN Schools)
Pay: £150 - £210 Per day (Based on experience)
Contract – Flexible day-to-day opportunities Monday– Friday.
Smile Education is working with a number of specialist SEN schools and provisions across Birmingham who are seeking confident and compassionate SEN Teachers for day-to-day supply work.
This is a fantastic opportunity for qualified teachers with SEN experience who are looking for flexible working while making a meaningful difference to pupils with additional needs.
The Role
• Deliver pre-planned lessons tailored to pupils with a range of special educational needs.
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs including ASD, SEMH and complex needs.
• Create a safe, structured and supportive classroom environment.
• Manage behaviour effectively using positive and consistent strategies.
• Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development.
• Work closely with teaching assistants and SEN staff.
• Provide feedback on pupil progress and engagement.
• Uphold safeguarding, wellbeing and inclusion at all times.

Requirements
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Previous SEN teaching experience (essential)
• Experience supporting needs such as Autism, SEMH or complex needs
• Strong behaviour management and adaptability
• Patient, nurturing and resilient approach
• Able to provide two references covering the past two years
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
