We have an opportunity to join our Data & Analytics team, supporting the delivery of seamless data integrations across our platforms and systems. We are seeking an experienced Azure Integration Engineer who will support the design, development and maintenance of data connections that help power our business systems.
The Role
As we continue to evolve into a data-driven organisation, we recognise the importance of effective and reliable data integrations. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual with experience in building and maintaining reliable integrations across enterprise systems. You will design, develop, and support integration services that ensure seamless communication between business applications. Working closely with system owners, developers and analysts, you’ll take ownership of integration workflows, ensure testing and monitoring activities, and troubleshoot production issues independently.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and maintain data integration workflows across systems
2. Build and support APIs and data connections using Azure Logic Apps, API Management, Service Bus, and related platforms
3. Monitor integration jobs and respond to system alerts as part of daily operations
4. Take ownership of testing activities to validate data accuracy and system performance
5. Work with senior team members and business stakeholders to gather integration requirements
6. Document integration processes and contribute to the maintenance of technical documentation
7. Investigate and resolve integration issues in a structured and timely manner
8. Participate in improvement efforts to enhance existing data workflows and reduce manual tasks
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Preferred Qualifications
9. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
10. Or equivalent experience gained in a professional data or integration environment
Experience and Knowledge
11. Experience in a data or integration-focused role
12. Experience with Azure Integration Services tools (Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps, API Management, Service Bus, Event Grid)
13. Solid understanding of APIs (REST/SOAP) and integration patterns
14. Proficiency in complex SQL and Python and a solid understanding of relational databases and data transformations concepts.
15. Familiarity with data formats such as JSON and XML
16. Some experience or awareness of ETL or middleware tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory, SSIS, Boomi and DataBricks)
