Equifind is recruiting for a Fund Finance Director to join a fast-growing asset management group specialising in large-scale litigation finance and private credit. Based in the City of London, the firm operates a hybrid working policy.
The role sits within the finance and investment function and is being hired ahead of a new fund launch. You’ll work closely with the CFO, CIO, and wider investment team.
This is a broad, commercially focused position spanning fund control, investor reporting, credit analysis and modelling, deal structuring, and transaction support.
As AI and technology continue to automate more routine finance work, the emphasis is increasingly on commercially minded professionals who can contribute to investment discussions and add value across fund operations and deal strategy.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting the CFO and investment team on fund control, including oversight of reporting, NAV, and third‑party providers.
* Partnering with the deal team on credit modelling, underwriting, and ongoing portfolio analysis.
* Contributing to fund and deal structuring, working closely with legal, tax, and external advisors.
* Assisting with investor relations, including preparation of investor materials, reporting, and ad hoc requests.
* Taking a commercial, forward‑looking approach to finance, delivering insights beyond historical reporting.
* Engaging with ongoing automation and AI initiatives to help build a more efficient and scalable finance function.
Application Requirements:
* Qualified accounting qualification.
* A minimum of 7 years’ experience in a similar fund reporting role.
* Experience of working within alternative asset management.
* Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
* Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic, and global environment.
* Strategic mindset with strong critical‑thinking and decision‑making capability.
