MET Technician (Mechanical Skills Required) – Glasgow

Steer Automotive Group is looking for an experienced MET Technician in Glasgow with strong mechanical repair capability to help restore vehicles to pre-accident condition. This is an excellent opportunity for a technician who takes pride in quality workmanship and wants to grow within a national, forward-thinking business.
Key Responsibilities
14. Dismantle and reassemble vehicles in line with manufacturer repair methods
15. Carry out mechanical repairs as well as MET duties
16. Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults
17. Complete repairs using the latest tools and technology
18. Work closely with panel and paint teams to ensure efficient turnaround
19. Maintain a safe, clean, and organised workspace
Requirements
20. Proven experience as an MET Technician in an accident repair or bodyshop environment
21. Strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on repair experience
22. Good understanding of electrical and trim systems
23. ATA accreditation (preferred but not essential)
24. High attention to detail and quality standards
25. Full UK driving licence preferred
