Supported by a talented and driven team, everyone is free to be themselves, where respect is a given, and we’re always there for one another.Your future, your benefitsCompetitive salaryPaid holidaysHealth and well-being benefits, including a virtual GP service and Employee Assistance Programme helpline, which includes free counselling sessionsAccess to fantastic discounts at cinemas, major retail brands, restaurants and coffee chains - simple and easy to access, making it possible to save hundreds of pounds a yearRecognition schemes, including Support Centre Heroes and service awardsYour future, your roleAs a Cyber Security Engineer, you’ll be:Owning the hands-on technical security of mydentist’s web estate, Azure cloud infrastructure, and emerging AI servicesFocusing on keeping the organisation secure without slowing it down — hardening web ingress controls, securing identity and access, and building security guardrails for AI adoptionOwning Azure security posture, managing WAF and edge security, and embedding security into how mydentist builds and runs softwareLeading API security design and governance, ensuring consistent security controls across platform APIsDefining and maintaining security baselines for Azure workloads, virtual networks, and on-premise systems in transitionWorking with the Platform Engineering team to ensure cloud infrastructure is built and deployed securely, including network segmentation and least-privilege controlsWorking with the AI and Automation Lead to ensure AI solutions are designed and deployed with security by design from the outsetStaying current with AI security risks and emerging attack vectors, translating threat intelligence into practical controlsActing as the internal interface for Arctic Wolf, mydentist’s outsourced MDR provider, triaging escalations and feeding intelligence back into the engineering environmentUsing intelligence from Arctic Wolf and external sources to proactively harden controls before threats materialiseYou will need:5+ years in a hands-on cybersecurity engineering or security architecture roleProven experience managing WAF and edge security at scale, using Cloudflare, Akamai, or equivalent platformsDeep hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Entra ID, Conditional Access policies, and Azure app registrations.Practical knowledge of API security, OWASP Top 10 remediation, and secure web application designExperience working embedded in engineering or platform teams within an Agile/DevOps environmentFamiliarity with AI and LLM security risks and emerging best practices for securing AI-powered systems.Experience working with or alongside outsourced MDR or SOC providersExposure to identity governance practices including access reviews, lifecycle management, and role-based access controlEnjoy being part of a team that’s passionate about supporting our practices and ultimately helping the nation smile.Your future starts hereBuild a fulfilling career with us, where you'll find the opportunity to develop your skills and shape your work life with a caring and inclusive team that supports one another.Click to apply now!MYDSC
