As a Client Reporting Leader, you will be responsible for managing the vessel administration team, and Finance officer dealing with all central vessel processes. You will drive and lead the automation and streamlining of all multi vessel processes, with delivery of high-quality vessel reporting to a key client within a dynamic and forward-looking Vessel Management Company. You will be responsible for ensuring all deadlines and KPI’s are met and reporting the progress to the Financial Controller. You will be a qualified or qualified by experience, with excellent leadership skills and the ability to influence and drive the team towards improving processes, driving change, and ensuring governance of cost disciplines across our Managed fleet of vessels.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage a team of Finance Officers and Finance administration including appraisals and training new members of staff.
2. Ensuring that all inter vessel transfers are correctly accounted for and bank transfers are made within agreed deadlines.
3. Manage the process for vessels leaving management driving down the process time to contractual 3 months.
4. Reconciliation of crew leave balances ensuring that all liabilities are correctly posted, reconciled, and controlled within the required timeframe for month end,
5. Ensure all crew payroll processes are completed within the required deadlines.
6. Approval of Bank Payments.
7. Line Management of Team/Setting Appraisals/Objectives/Developing/Training/Recruitment of Staff.
8. Ensure all processes are documented.
9. Work with the Finance Controller to identify and drive efficiency and automation on all processes.
10. Supporting the Financial Controller with any Special Projects
11. Work together as a team and provide department cross-functional support when required.
12. Work towards a set of Monthly Deadlines/KPIs/Capture and deliver on Client Feedback.
13. Ensuring Processes are followed for efficient fleet movements within Finance Client Reporting.
14. Co-Ordinating Team Meetings with the FC and ensuring deliverables and progress is communicated within the team.
15. Setting KPIs and ensuring that processes are in place to capture these for the Ship Management Dashboard.

You may be asked from time to time be asked to undertake other tasks that are considered to be relevant to your position.

Candidate Requirements

Essential

16. Accountancy qualification
17. Previous experience working within a dynamic team and ability to demonstrate Leadership and Management of Staff

Desirable

18. Part Qualified Accountant – ACCA/ICAS Qualified
19. Previous experience working within a dynamic team and ability to demonstrate Leadership and Management of Staff
20. ERP experience or similar system to Agresso
