Position: Learning Disability Social Worker
Please note: This is a Long Term Temporary position starting ASAP.
We are seeking 1×37 hour Learning Disability Social Worker to join the Adult Social Care Learning Disability Team in Blackpool. The team supports adults and young people living in Blackpool by providing direct support and commissioning specialist services from providers.
Working hours: Monday to Thursday, 9am – 5pm; Friday, 9am – 4.30pm. Location: Blackpool Council Bickerstaffe Offices.
This role involves working with adults and young people with learning disabilities, conducting Care Act Assessments and reviews. The position is line-managed by the Learning Disability Team Manager.
The team includes Blackpool Council Adult Social Care staff and NHS Health staff from Blackpool Teaching Hospitals.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed social worker with excellent communication and organizational skills. Candidates should have a solid understanding of the Care Act 2014, experience in safeguarding, managing risks, and care management.
Ideal candidates will have experience working with adults with learning disabilities and their families, a passion for learning disabilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and partners. You should be a team player, an excellent communicator, and eager to contribute your energy, enthusiasm, and experience to the team and those we support.
Essential Criteria:
* Degree in Social Work
* SWE Registration
* Right to work in the UK
Must Have:
* A professional qualification in social work
* Social Work England registration
* Enhanced DBS/Update service
* References covering the last 5 years of employment
