We proudly support over 400 care homes across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Milton Keynes and North West London. Our mission is simple — to deliver person-centred eye care directly to residents in the comfort of their homes, ensuring no one misses out on essential vision support.

We are Dementia Friends accredited and committed to excellence, collaboration, and compassionate care.

The Role

We are looking for a Junior Administrator to join our friendly central office team. This is a varied and rewarding role supporting both our operations and customer service teams. You’ll be the first point of contact for our clients and care home partners, helping ensure that every interaction reflects the warmth, professionalism, and reliability that Opticall is known for.

Act as the first point of contact for incoming calls, emails, and visitors – providing a friendly and professional “front of house” experience.

*

Manage the shared inbox, responding to or redirecting queries promptly and accurately.

*

Liaise with care home managers, staff, and families to provide updates, schedule visits, and resolve general queries.

*

Support the operations team with scheduling, data entry, and administrative tasks.

*

Check in and process deliveries of glasses, ensuring accurate records and timely updates in our system.

*

Send confirmation emails to care homes and clients for upcoming visits, deliveries, or appointments.

*

Assist in maintaining our digital eye care portal, ensuring client information and reports are up to date.

*

Contribute to a positive and supportive office environment, embodying our person-centred and collaborative values.

About You

You’ll be friendly, highly-organised, and eager to learn. This role would suit someone early in their administrative career who enjoys helping others and takes pride in providing excellent customer service.

Essential skills and qualities:

*

Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)

*

Strong organisational and time-management skills

*

Confident using email, google workspace, and online systems

*

A friendly, professional manner with a focus on customer care

*

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a small team

*

A positive attitude and willingness to learn

Desirable:

*

Previous experience in an administrative, customer service, or healthcare setting

*

Understanding of care home environments or NHS-funded services

What We Offer

*

Supportive, friendly team environment

*

Full training provided

*

Opportunities for development and progression

*

The chance to be part of a growing, values-led company making a real difference to people’s lives
