Adult & Paediatric Administrator/Crisis Worker - Darlaston P/T
The role of Administrator/Crisis Worker is essential in providing victims of sexual assault with dedicated support and care.
Acting as an advocate for patients attending the Centre, you will empower them to feel in control and support them during the forensic examination process where applicable.
Main duties of the job
This Paediatric & Adult Administrator/Crisis Worker role includes:
* Providing telephone information and support.
* Assisting in the administration and management of adult or child patients and their families, including preparing patients and collecting forensic evidence.
* Supporting the use of the colposcope and medical care, providing advocacy support, and ensuring a patient-centered service.
* Maintaining high standards of DNA decontamination between forensic cases.
* liaising with other agencies regarding the management of historic cases.

Each county has its own SARC, commissioned to improve immediate medical response and aftercare for victims of sexual assault and rape. Mountain Healthcare already provides similar services to 20 other SARCs across the UK.
This is a dual role with responsibilities as both Administrator and Crisis Worker.
You will be based at the Willow Tree SARC, Darlaston, Wednesbury.
This is a part-time position of 16 hours per week, with shift hours from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday.
Additional shifts as an out-of-hours Crisis Worker may be available on an on-call basis from 5:00 pm to 9:00 am.
We believe in empowering our staff to make a difference and require a UK driving license due to potential travel.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Full driving license and access to a car 24/7
* Female only applicants
* Pre-employment checks including Enhanced DBS, references, and police vetting required
Experience
* Experience working with vulnerable adults and children
* Understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality
* Experience in administration, including data collection, reporting, and data manipulation
