Job Overview
Reporting to the Senior Inventory Planner the Inventory Planner will be responsible analysing demand from the MOD for tri-service clothing and footwear requirements. Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, they will then produce dashboards and reports based upon data in an engaging and accessible way.
Job Responsibilities
To provide and deliver a consistent and reliable Commodity Support Inventory Plan and an effective Equipment Management plan for the Team Leidos Community. The role will involve the following:
Developing reporting and performance metrics
Administer system generated Demand Forecast exceptions in line with business priorities meeting performance KPIs
Interface with Commodity and Category teams:
* To derive and set stocking policy and initial inventory level for new product introductions.
* Calculate and administer ‘All time Buys’.
Participate in process improvement projects under the direction of their Senior Inventory Planner team leader.
Analysing data outputs from the ERP system in order to refine configuration
* Develop to become a TVS ERP System super user
* Then support introduction of TVS’ ERP system across the rest of the Bristol based business
Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate will have experience in Inventory Management in the supply chain across procurement, planning and/or warehouse management. Additionally:
* ERP system experience in either SAP, Oracle, MJDI, SS3 or similar programme
* Commercial experience in the clothing industry will be useful as will military clothing experience however this is not essential
* Demand planning using system based techniques.
* Excel ability to Vlookup, pivot tables and advanced formula standard for basic data analysis
