About the Role:We’re looking for a creative and practical Design Technology Teacher with a focus on Resistant Materials (wood, metal, plastics). You’ll teach students from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 4, helping them build skills in design, making, and problem-solving.
What You’ll Do:
1. Teach engaging lessons in Resistant Materials and Product Design
2. Use tools like CAD/CAM, 3D printers, and laser cutters
3. Support students with GCSE Design & Technology projects
4. Keep the workshop safe, organised, and inspiring
5. Get involved in clubs and projects like STEM, robotics, or eco-design
What We’re Looking For:
6. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
7. Experience teaching Design Technology or Engineering
8. Knowledge of health & safety, design processes, and sustainable materials
9. A passion for hands-on learning and creativity
