About the role:
This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Finance team within JCB's Earthmovers Business Unit. As an Assistant Management Accountant, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, supporting both internal and external stakeholders. You'll be a trusted point of contact for finance queries, contributing to continuous improvement and helping drive efficiency across the function. This role offers a fast-paced environment with real scope for development and progression.
What does this role involve day to day?
* Weekly cash postings and month-end bank reconciliation, reporting to Group Finance.
* Monthly intercompany statement reconciliation and mismatch resolution.
* Raising manual sales invoices for part sales.
* Monthly VAT calculation and reporting to Group Taxation.
* Posting accruals and prepayments, particularly linked to Accounts Payable.
* Supporting Accounts Payable and Management Accounts functions as needed.
* Overhead analysis and assisting with other month-end activities.
* Raising commercial invoices for overseas intercompany transactions.
This will be suited to you if:
* You're working towards a professional finance qualification or are a recent graduate with a relevant degree.
* You're confident using Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, SUMIFS, and VLOOKUPS.
* You thrive in a busy environment and can manage high volumes and tight deadlines.
* You're detail-oriented, organised, and accountable for your own workload.
* You're passionate about continuous improvement and enjoy problem-solving.
* You understand the importance of adhering to Group Accounting Policies.
