Position: Senior Platform EngineerSalary: £60,000 – £75,000Work Pattern: HybridLocation: St HelensThe RoleAs Lead Platform Engineer, you will take full ownership of the design, delivery, and operation of Azure-based cloud platforms. You will ensure the infrastructure is secure and cost-efficient, while enabling development teams to work effectively.This is a fast-paced and evolving environment that calls for a proactive and hands-on approach. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and liaise with external stakeholders, making the ability to communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and accessible way essential.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the Azure cloud platform across multiple environments.Oversee cloud operations, including monitoring, performance optimisation, and capacity planning.Maintain cloud security, governance, and cost management controls.Manage identity and access using Microsoft Entra, Intune, and role-based access control.Develop and maintain infrastructure as code.Collaborate with other teams.Skills & ExperienceProven experience in cloud infrastructure or platform engineering roles.Strong hands-on experience managing Azure environments.In-depth knowledge of Azure services.Strong scripting and automation capabilities using PowerShell or Terraform.Solid understanding of cloud security principles and frameworks.Experience managing and optimising cloud costs.Experience with monitoring and observability tools.Strong stakeholder management and communication skillsPackage Share option schemeGenerous annual leave allowanceFlexible hybrid working model& more.If this a role you are interested in, please apply now & interviews are being held early next year.
