Job OverviewWe are looking for a dedicated Logistics Coordinator to help us to plan and coordinate the distribution of our haircare products and accessories. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day logistics needs of the company, including overseeing the delivery of goods, ensuring the accuracy of shipments, and coordinating with suppliers and customers.The purpose of the role is to:Own all 3pl relations; andMaintain timeliest and cost-effective logistical methods of supply chain. i.e. freight, assembly, COGS etc. to encourage efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement logistics strategies to ensure efficient operationsAnalyse and monitor inventory levels to manage the logistical movementDevelop reports on the performance of logistics operationsPlanning and overseeing incoming and outgoing deliveries Overseeing logistics, warehouse and transport services Planning and analysing budgets and expendituresInteract closely with other functions within the business to ensure smooth operational effectiveness including with the Operations Manager and Supply Chain ManagerManage company fulfilmentBe the key contact to our 3pl’sWork alongside the 3PL partners to drive efficiencies and process enhancements delivering continuous improvement and cost saving opportunities to the business Ensure that our warehouse partners are shipping and operating efficiently as per our SLA with orders being processed on a timely mannerMonitor receiving channels e.g. Shopify and our ERP/WMS to ensure that data is feeding back Monitor shipping kpi’s to ensure that B2C and B2B orders are shipping on timeReview fulfilment invoices and settle themEnsure that our rates are competitive and cost effectiveJustify our external shipping charges with analytical reportsEnsure that the shipping rates that we charge to customers are feasibleResearch methods to improve our overall fulfilment operations to maintain high customer satisfactionSearch for new 3pls if needed as we focus on global expansionManage all logistics/freightProgressing shipments and deliveries by liaising with suppliers, brokers, customers and haulage/shipping companies.Prepare, manage and route international and national inbound and outbound shipmentsMaking sure that our partners (the lab, the warehouses, freight forwarders and shipping companies) are working to deliver our products via sea, road and airfreight options to meet delivery targets on-time Understand retailer packing, shipping and delivery requirementsProcess orders for shipment to retail partnersRequest quotes from multiple freight forwarders and brokers to export and import goods between our UK and US warehouse and ask the lab/warehouse to prepare palletsPrepare documentation such as commercial invoices & bill of ladingCustoms Clearance: Ensuring all paperwork and declaration are completed and accurate to aid swift passage through customsObtaining freight rates and ETA of vesselsReview logistical and transportation costs to ensure overall transportation costs are minimised and provide recommendations to improve delivery efficiency, such as improving on-time delivery, offering faster shipping, and optimising fulfilment options (pickup, freight optimization)Provide reporting and visibility on all shipments in-transit, along with SKU level detailsProvide recommendations to improve delivery efficiency and cost-savings, such as improving on-time delivery, combining shipments, offering faster shipping at no extra cost, and optimising fulfilment options (e.g. pickup, export freight optimization)Chase delivery updates and pass on status updates to the Operations ManagerEntering deliveries into system when received into warehouse.Improve logistical/freight efficiencyReview logistical and transportation costs to ensure overall transportation costs are minimisedLook for opportunities to reduce costs and shipping timesMonitor shipping kpi’s with 3pl’s and logistics companiesReporting and communicationStatuses of shipments statusesSignificant supplier and third-party partner updates, delays, news and announcements through Slack, call and e-mailAny operational issues with the warehouse, suppliers, third-partiesIn weekly meetings of PO and order status, elevate concerns urgently as it relates to timing delays, informing wider team of delaysMonthly reporting on:Reviewing warehouse invoices Reports on shipping charges/costs, review the reports on returned and / or damaged products, and lost or missing orders so that we can charge to the warehouses, returns and damages % rate from the warehouse Preparing insightful logistics reports, when appropriateSkills & ExperienceProven working experience in logisticsExperience with exporting and importingExperience with national inbound and outbound freightRecord of successful distribution and logistics managementProficient in standard logistics softwareFMCG/Cosmetics experienceExcellent analytical, problem solving and organisational skillsAbility to work independently and handle multiple projectsExcellent communication,
