This secondment will give you the opportunity to work closely with our Paediatric Rheumatology, Nutrition and Gastroenterology MDTs to deliver excellent patient care, whilst being supported by an experienced wider Family Health Pharmacy Team.
Main duties
* To lead the delivery of the clinical pharmacy service to Paediatric Rheumatology, Paediatric Gastroenterology and Paediatric Nutrition patients at NUH.
* To provide leadership, management and speciality/service support roles.
* To line manage and support more junior pharmacists in the Family Health and wider Pharmacy team.
* To ensure clinical areas are fully compliant with the Medicines regulations and legislation including those for Controlled Drugs.
* To be responsible for full implementation of the Medicines Optimisation Strategy within the clinical area(s), clinical audits and Quality Improvement initiatives.
* Support and participate in broader corporate medicines-related initiatives as directed.
* To take full part in the weekend and bank holiday duty rota.

* B.Pharm / BSc (Pharmacy) or MPharm; GPhC registered

* Broad previous experience (post registration) of clinical pharmacy, particularly in acute settings

* Some experience of line management, including effective performance management, recruitment and allocation of staff
