Role: Repair Technician
Location: Wellingborough
Hours: Monday to Friday
Salary: £35,000 - £39,000 per annum
OA are currently looking to recruit for an experienced Repair Technician to join a well-established client based in Wellingborough.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong electronics background who enjoys fault-finding, diagnostics and component-level repair. Duties of a Repair Technician:
Test, diagnose and repair electronic products to component level
Use automated and manual test equipment to identify faults
Carry out fault-finding with and without schematics or circuit diagrams
Complete repairs to the required quality and performance standards
Accurately document repairs and diagnostics within internal systems
Disassemble, reassemble and prepare returned units for testing and repair
Configure hardware for manual testing where required
Support continuous improvement and reduction in turnaround times
Highlight technical, quality or process issues to Engineering and Management teams
Carry out maintenance and calibration checks on test systems
Provide technical support and cross-training to colleagues when required
What we would like from you:
Previous experience within an electronics repair or test environment
Qualification in Electronics Engineering (ONC/HNC/HND or equivalent)
Strong electronics knowledge and fault-finding ability
Experience diagnosing faults down to component level
Ability to use oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers and multi-meters
Good understanding of electronic testing procedures
Proficient with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
Experience using hand and power tools
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Able to work independently and within a fast-paced environment
