We’re looking for an Account Director who can lead client partnerships with confidence, shape standout social strategy, and inspire teams to deliver exceptional work. Someone who brings strategic clarity, creative ambition and a calm, solutions-led approach.
The Role
As Account Director, you’ll be the strategic partner and trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders. You’ll set the direction for accounts, deepen client relationships, and lead teams to deliver high-quality work consistently. You’ll help define what good looks like — strategically, creatively and operationally.
This is not just client management. It’s stewardship, growth, influence and leadership.
What You’ll Be Doing
Lead & Grow Client Partnerships
* Own and deepen senior client relationships, operating as a strategic partner and point of escalation.
* Lead client meetings and conversations with clarity, confidence and strategic intent.
* Anticipate challenges and opportunities, proactively guiding clients toward the bigger picture.
* Ensure our work ladders up to brand, business and audience objectives.
Strategic & Creative Direction
* Shape and evolve social strategies that feel modern, culturally-relevant and insight-led.
* Oversee creative development — ensuring ideas are distinctive, on-brand and fit for platform.
* Provide direction across paid social, ensuring strategy, optimisation and reporting are aligned to growth.
* Translate performance into narrative — telling the story behind the data and the opportunity ahead.
Drive Growth
* Identify and lead proactive opportunities to grow accounts through new ideas and strategic recommendations.
* Lead proposals, planning and pitch responses with a clear, compelling point of view.
* Contribute to revenue planning and forecasting, supporting both account and agency growth goals.
Lead & Elevate the Team
* Mentor, support and develop Account Managers and wider client services team members.
* Foster a culture of proactive communication, ownership and creative ambition.
* Delegate confidently and clearly, ensuring teams feel empowered and supported.
* Model calm, clarity and strategic thinking — especially under pressure.
What You’ll Bring
* 7+ years in a social-first agency environment, with experience leading sizeable accounts and senior client stakeholders.
* Strong strategic understanding of organic and paid social (with hands-on familiarity across Meta; TikTok/LinkedIn a bonus).
* A track record of delivering impactful creative and performance-led social work.
* Confident presenting, influencing and challenging thinking with insight, empathy and diplomacy.
* Excellent copy and creative instincts — you know good social when you see it.
* Commercial acumen: you understand how to drive growth, maintain profitability and shape scopes.
* Leadership experience with the ability to inspire, motivate and guide high-performing teams.
