Facility Operations
An opportunity exists for suitable individuals to work within the Facility Operations as a Chef at our Welfare Catering sites.
37 hours per week, 52 weeks.

Facility Services and Civic Management work across the city providing catering, caretaking, school meals, and welfare catering services.
We have a large team of cleaners, cleaner supervisors, facility supervisors (caretakers), catering assistants, assistant chefs, and chefs working various hours and shifts in schools and public buildings.

What we are looking for:
We seek a creative professional chef with excellent leadership skills who is passionate about cooking and caring for others.
You will work across three sites, providing meals for elderly individuals with special dietary and nutritional needs.
We are looking for a reliable, friendly person with a positive attitude to join our welfare catering team.
Essentially, you must hold a minimum NVQ Level 2 in Food Processing and Cooking or equivalent, and have at least 3 years’ experience in a busy catering environment.
We are looking for someone who:
* Has a Level 2 in Food Processing and Cooking (or equivalent).
* Is positive and motivated.
* Has experience supervising or leading a team.

* Delivers high standards of meal production and service.

* Is self-motivated and able to meet deadlines.
* Has excellent time management skills.
* Provides high standards of customer service.
* Can develop and introduce new menu ideas and foodservice innovations.
* Possesses strong interpersonal skills, is positive, innovative, and solution-focused.
* Has experience working in catering.
* Is sociable and caring, with the ability to build positive relationships with service users.
