Overview
We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join the in‑house clinical team at Meadowcroft School, Wakefield. In this role you will provide assessment and intervention to pupils who have developmental trauma, neurodivergence or SEMH needs, working collaboratively with the education team within the OFG Occupational Therapy Ways of Working.

Salary
Up to £53,200 FTE DOE (basic grade OT £33,000+, Specialist £39,500+, Highly specialist £48,000+).
Hours
37.5 hours per week Monday - Friday 08.30am - 16.30pm (part time hours may be considered).
Contract
Permanent (term time only, with flexibility around full‑time contract discussed based on personal circumstances).
Essential
Full valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
Role
Deliver bespoke Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention to pupils with developmental trauma, neurodivergence or SEMH needs. Hold a caseload under the guidance of the clinical supervisor and site lead, and contribute to staff training and consultation where required. Work within the safeguarding culture of the school and follow professional and governing body requirements.
Responsibilities
* Conduct comprehensive OT assessments and develop individualized intervention plans.
* Deliver interventions that promote independence and support pupils’ educational success.
* Maintain accurate and concise clinical records and reports.
* Collaborate with teachers, specialists and external services for a person‑centred approach.
* Contribute to multi‑professional team meetings and staff training where appropriate.
* Support the safeguarding culture and meet statutory requirements.
Qualifications
* Recognised Occupational Therapy degree.
* Valid and up‑to‑date HCPC registration.
* Registered member of RCOT.
* Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience, preferably in an educational setting.
* Experience working with neurodivergent pupils and/or those with learning or socio‑emotional difficulties.
* Sound knowledge of OT theory and its application to support independence.
* Ability to work independently and flexibly.
* Clear, concise report‑writing skills.
* Interests in sensory integration or sensory‑informed practice (SI training preferred but not essential).
