The Team
We are currently recruiting Tax Assistant Managers to join our successful Family Office & Private Client team based in the South (Bristol/Reading).
As a national practice, our FO&PC team consists of approximately 150 team members across the UK, led by 9 Partners and 15 Directors.
We work with a variety of high net worth individuals - from stakeholders in privately owned and entrepreneurial businesses, executives of multi-national firms, landed estates, and senior members of private equity firms; who may be tax resident and/or domiciled in a range of jurisdictions. We also specialise in providing advice to Trusts and Estates, and Partnerships.
If you are a highly motivated qualified tax adviser/ accountant (ATT, CTA or ACA/ACCA) with experience of working in personal tax, then we'd love to hear from you.
We recognise that there are also highly motivated individuals who are qualified through experience and may not be exam qualified, and we are open to considering such individuals also.
The Role
This is primarily an advisory role working with high net worth individuals on UK and international tax issues, as well as with entrepreneurial businesses and shareholder-owned companies.
Responsibilities include:
* Delivering high-quality personal tax services to clients.
* Managing a diverse portfolio of complex clients and providing advice on inheritance tax, capital gains tax, income tax, international tax matters, and identifying opportunities for tax planning.
* Providing original and creative tax solutions for bespoke assignments.
* Project managing tax advisory assignments, ensuring deadlines, risk management, and compliance are met.
* Managing work in progress, billing, and cash collection.
* Overseeing the performance and development of junior staff.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
* Qualified accountant or tax advisor with experience in personal tax and a varied client base.
* Strong academic results and insightful understanding of private client issues.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Commitment to clients, colleagues, and KPMG.
* High analytical skills and a commercial approach.
* Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
