Position
A Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant is needed at a Specialist School in Trowbridge on a long-term basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a Psychology or Criminology graduate, or an experienced Teaching Assistant, to develop experience with Special Educational Needs and Behaviour, and to help support students' mental health.
Responsibilities
* Work with children aged 11 to 16 with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, anxiety, trauma and behaviour challenges.
* Help keep pupils focused and on task in the classroom, and assist with behaviour management.
* Support students in understanding and processing their emotions and struggles, and contribute to their emotional wellbeing.
* Participate in the school focus on alternative forms of education, including arts and crafts, outdoor activities and cooking.

* Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 15:30
* Salary: £85 to £95 per day

Qualifications / Experience
* Graduate in Psychology, Criminology, or related field, or experienced Teaching Assistant
* Experience with challenging behaviour is beneficial
* Experience working with children (any capacity such as voluntary work, babysitting, or in a sports setting) is welcome
