Closing Date: We are seeking to recruit a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Engineering Graduate to join our team. Northstone is the leading manufacturer and supplier of building materials in Northern Ireland. The successful candidates will report to the Regional Operations Manager. Graduates will take part in our two-year graduate development programme, to develop technical, interpersonal, commercial, and management skills.
Northstone's 2025 Graduate Programme will commence at the beginning of September 2025. What we offer: Hands-on experience, engagement with the Ibec Academy (accredited by TU Dublin), a Professional Diploma in Leadership and Competence, one-on-one mentorship with senior leaders, opportunities to develop technical and operational skills.
Key areas of responsibility: Learn and understand the operation and maintenance requirements of our mobile and fixed plant and equipment; participate in process projects targeting sustainability or efficiency improvements; prepare technical drawings and documentation; ensure high health, safety, and environmental standards are maintained and improved; coordinate and oversee maintenance and upgrade operations under the guidance of location management; communicate information and plans effectively to employees and contractors.
Candidates should ideally possess: A relevant third-level qualification in Electrical / Building Services / Automation Engineering or similar; be a team player with a positive attitude; hold a clean driving license; have good interpersonal skills; be proactive, organized, results-driven, and self-motivated; have knowledge of relevant electrical codes and standards; possess excellent verbal and written communication skills; be able to operate within strict timelines/deadlines; have strong computer literacy skills; proficiency in AutoCAD or similar engineering packages is desired but not essential, as full training will be provided.
