Overview
The successful candidate will work alongside key staff to monitor and record pupils' attendance. The role will involve recording pupil absence and daily contact with parents and staff. In addition, the post-holder will support and liaise closely with the Guidance Managers (Year Leaders) and the Senior Leadership Team on all matters relating to attendance. We are looking to appoint a diligent and committed Attendance Officer to join our "greatly valued" Pastoral Team (Ofsted Inspection, 2024).
Responsibilities
* Monitor and record pupils' attendance and pupil absence; daily contact with parents and staff.
* Support and liaise closely with the Guidance Managers (Year Leaders) and the Senior Leadership Team on all matters relating to attendance.
Requirements and skills
* Proactive individual with excellent IT skills, specifically data processing and Office 365.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to work to deadlines.
* Good literacy and numeracy (equivalent to at least GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English).
* Excellent interpersonal skills.
